This past weekend, we went to Deep Creek Lake with a few friends and even though I missed Grayson a whole lot, it was pretty nice to get away with Kyle and have no responsibilities for 2 days (and I knew G was having a great time with my parents as they sent me pictures of him at the bounce house). I’m pretty sure he was having more fun than we were! It snowed both nights we were there but it made everything even more beautiful so I didn’t mind.
On Saturday, we went to the shooting range and I shot my first gun! I have always been scared of guns and the danger that comes with them but my husband was a pretty avid hunter growing up so he taught me everything he knew :) My first shot was with a .30-06 (pronounced Thirty ahht Six) and to my surprise it wasn’t as scary as I was making it out to be in my head. I went on to shoot a few other different kinds too. I can’t say I hit the target every time but at least I was doing it! I’m glad I got over my fear of guns too!
I got lucky on this trip because one of the other girls walked in with the same camera and lens as I have and I knew she’d be willing to take some pictures of Kyle and I by the lake. Woo! They turned out great and I love how romantic the snow makes them look. Thanks Jessie!
Thanks friends for an amazing weekend! It was much needed! xoxo
