Last weekend we took a long weekend trip to Tennessee to visit some family. We stayed at their beautiful house just a few seconds from the lake. We thought it would be best to drive down in the middle of the night with a toddler (so he could sleep the whole time) and it was perfect other than the fact that when we got there….. he was up and ready to go…. and we were not. Since Kyle was the one the drove all night and I did get a combination of probably 2 hours of sleep, I let him sleep in and I stayed up with G. We played on the porch, out back on the swing set and with every new toy that was in his reach. By the time Kyle got up around 10am, I was on my 3rd cup of coffee and falling asleep on the porch swing.
When we got back to the house, I was able to take the most amazing 3 hours nap while Grayson napped (3 hours!!!!). We went to dinner in Gatlinburg at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. I’ve never been there before and it was good!
We all went to bed pretty early Friday night because Saturday was going to be a boat day! We hung out in the morning and took the boat out around noon for a couple of hours. The boys water skied and knee boarded while Grayson and I watched. He was a little scared every time the boat took off but overall he did great! As long as he had a freezie pop, he was happy ;)
^^ He also held onto that dump truck all day!
Saturday night was a BBQ night. We stayed at the house and ate a lot of food and drank a lot of beer. Stayed up a little too late but it was all so worth it ;)
Sunday, we went to church and then had lunch at Sakura after. We loveeeee Sakura. Who doesn’t love mountains of fried rice and shrimp/steak/chicken/filet/anything else you could possible want mixed in?
^^ He found the “bubblegut” machines ;)
^^ he also thought these things were pretty amazing…. they changed colors!
