My parents went on a long weekend to NC so we watched Brooks this weekend (in case I never told you guys, Brooks… my old dog, stayed with my parents after we moved out) and we decided it was the perfect opportunity to go on a long walk on one of the local trails. First, it was beautiful because the color changing leaves were still on the trees but I’ll tell you what, it was a lot colder than we anticipated. It took a lot of bribing/threatening to get Grayson to keep his darn hat on. Grayson spent the first half of the walk in the stroller eating some goldfish as Kyle and I talked away. Then halfway through he decided it was time for him to do some walking and exploring. That’s when the leaves were discovered, so why not have a big leaf fight? I might have started it……
See that laugh?? ^^ that was right after he shoved a whole handful of rocks/dirt/mud/leaves into my mouth. INTO MY MOUTH. It was disgusting and I actually almost threw up. So, playtime was over for me and Kyle took over ;)
My favorite picture of all time – I’m getting it framed for our house :)
Leaf fight with Brooksie was next…. he wasn’t really into it haha! He kept running away every time Grayson got close and of course G thought it was hilarious.
This one is a little blurry but I just love the happiness on his face :)
Oh, but not even 5 minutes after this awesome 10 minute play time, Grayson had a meltdown because I was running down the trail with him instead of Daddy. I can’t get any love when Daddy is around!
Fall will always have a special place in my heart but oh man, do I love all the Christmas stuff I’m already seeing. I definitely pulled out the Christmas pillows and some other décor this weekend and I’m not even ashamed of it. One month for Christmas is just not enough.
