What a great holiday weekend, am I right?! Grayson was back to his normal self by Thursday when all the festivities started, making it easier on Mama and Daddy. He was so cute and so funny the entire weekend, we definitely had a blast. On Saturday, we had our annual Christmas tree hunt at the Christmas Tree farm near my cousins house. It was definitely colder than we expected it to be so everyone found their tree’s quickly and we warmed up inside the barn with hot chocolate and cider (one of my favorite parts of going to the farm)!
Grayson ran around falling over roots and tree trunks, getting run over by roaming dogs, and playing hide and go seek with my dad. Once he was over all of that, he spent the rest of the time asking if he could “watch trucks” over and over and over again.
It took some bribes to get this picture but when I get it I’m super pumped because look, we are both smiling in the same direction! And it’s not blurry! Yay!
We typically take a gazillion pictures before we get one where Kyle’s eyes are actually open and Grayson is in focus haha!
Hide and go seek!
I’m so happy we decided to go with a big tree this year. It looks soooo good in our little apartment living room. We put lights on it last night but still have to put all the ornaments on. That’s a project for this week! I can’t wait to see it all decorated. Grayson got super excited last night when we turned the lights on. I love this time of year!
I snapped these pictures of Grayson as we were walking back up to the barn and they just remind me of how big he’s getting. Time really does fly with kids and it’s so bittersweet. I miss my little 8lb baby but I also love watching him turn into this smart, independent boy. He’s definitely his father mini-me, for sure!
I had to throw that last picture in because….. he face haha! He was so over it at the end. I want trucks and fruit snacks, Mama!
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I love seeing everyone’s holiday photos, put’s me in such a good mood! Cheers to Monday!
