This past week has been a pretty tough one. Between traveling with a 12 week old and Grayson going through a growth spurt again, I am exhausted. We don’t have any set plans this weekend which makes me super happy that I get to spend 2 whole days snuggling and loving on my two boys. Under blankets with the heat on high of course since it suddenly decided to drop to freezing temps outside. I’m excited for the winter season but I’m also pretty nervous about being cooped up inside too much with the baby. Any tips on how to get through the winter months for this new mom?
I have noticed some small changes in the way Grayson is interacting lately and it’s so exciting. He’s figuring out that his hands can move things around on his demand and is starting to become interested in the textures of things. He’s laughing/giggling so much more and is “talking” like crazy. I put a short video up on my instagram of him chatting away the other morning after I changed his diaper. It was so freakin’ cute.
Now let’s get started on our Friday favorites! Now that the holiday season is approaching and I’ve got my own little family of three this year (four with the puppy), I get to send out holiday/Christmas cards! I found this post about how to put together Christmas cards on a budget and loved it. Any advice on how to save money is great advice! What is your favorite company to order your holiday cards from? I want them to be perfect!
I bought these organic beanies for Grayson to keep his head warm this winter (blue and black) and they are perfect! They are a little big for his 3 month old head but I can easily fold them up and he looks adorable in them.
These felted monogram ornaments would be so cute for our Christmas tree! We have so many crafty ornaments that my brother and I made when we were kids that are still put on our tree every year and I can’t wait to make new ones with Grayson to put on our family tree. He’s still a little young for all of that stuff so we’ll just dress him up in Christmas onsies and taken a bazillion pictures of him to put in the handmade ornaments next year ;)
People have probably been doing this forever but I found on pinterest a quick and easy way to make breakfast sandwiches in the morning when you are in a rush. I make them at the beginning of the week and stick them in the fridge for Kyle to grab before he goes off to work. Basically I coat a muffin pan with pam non-stick spray, put some spinach in each section followed by a cracked egg (I break the yolk but you don’t have to) and add bacon bits on top. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake them for 15 minutes. You can put one on a toasted english muffin and just put it in the microwave in the morning to heat up or since I have a constantly hungry man on my hands, he puts two of the round egg things on a toasted everything bagel and microwaves that. They’ve been a big hit in our house!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Only 13 more days until Thanksgiving :)
