What a beautiful weekend we had! After the dreary and rainy week I was ready for some sunshine. We started the weekend out on Saturday morning with a family trip to Starbucks to get some coffee’s. We picked up breakfast at Einstein Bagel too and I tried their new Cinnamon Toast Egg Sandwich thingy and it was aaaa-mazing. Kyle tried the Santa Fe Turkey and Sausage sandwich and he enjoyed it :) Grayson was a good sport as we snapped 100 pictures too.
After our little morning trip we went home and cleaned up a little bit, put some laundry in and played with baby G. When my parents got home, they watched Grayson as we took my dad’s new 1988 Mercedes Benz out around town. We took the top off because it was such a gorgeous day and pretended we were a rich snooty couple in a movie. We had fun with it.
Then Kyle and I carved the pumpkins we got from the patch! Read about that trip here. Kyle carved in a sort of Jack-O-Lantern face inspired by The Nightmare before Christmas. I did a simple “BOO” pumpkin and added Grayson’s handprints to it because I’m obsessed with him and I had to add something in honor of his first Halloween! I haven’t carved pumpkins in years so I’m pretty proud of it :)
We ended up baking the seeds using this recipe. They are delicious! And here is another little photo shoot because why not? Grayson is such a good sport and I swear he loves the camera.
Oh yeah and here is a funny picture of when Grayson fell asleep playing under his playmat Saturday morning. He’s never done that before and for some reason I thought it was the funniest thing ever.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Halloween is right around the corner and I’m excited to see everyone’s costumes!
