Grayson is growing up so fast already. It’s been two weeks and I can already see myself sending him off to college. WAH. We’ve been pretty busy the last week with visitors, labor day parties and running around getting paperwork finalized so this little guy can be a real person.
He’s still pretty much the most amazing baby in the world other than when he screams almost every night between the hours of 7 and 9.
We started tummy time this week and he actually doesn’t mind it. I wouldn’t say he loves it since he obviously struggles to get his head up but he’s only two weeks old and he’s already rolling himself onto his back. We’ve got a strong little guy over here!
Most nights (other than like 1 or 2) he sleeps for at least 3-4 hours at a time. He’ll go down about either 9:30pm or 10:30pm depending on our schedule (and how tired he is), wake up about 1:30am and then again around 5:30am then sleep until about 9am. I consider myself lucky for getting those 3-4 hour stretches already!
Even if they say babies can’t really smile this early, I swear yesterday (9/3/14) he smiled at Kyle and I for the first time. It wasn’t even an “I just pooped smile” or a smile in his sleep. He was looking right at me and I said something and he gave us 3 or 4 BIG smiles. I almost melted in place.
He still loves the car/his car seat. Every time we put him in there, he’s out like a light for the next 3 hours. And he looks absolutely adorable all squished in there with his head hanging to one side.
Every Tuesday I attend a “breast feeding support group” at the hospital where I delivered. When breast feeding you never know if you’re transferring enough milk to your little one so when I go there they weigh him first, then I feed, then they weigh him again to see how much he’s getting. It’s really nice! Last week he weighed in at 8 lbs before I fed him which surpasses his birth weight! Go Grayson!
We have a pediatrician appointment this morning where he has to get some shots so wish us both luck.
Here are some pictures from the past week!

^^labor day festivities! First time using our City Mini GT stroller and we LOVE it. So maneuverable and the adapters for the car seat are so simple.
